Text Box: Welcome to the Oak Grove Soccer Web Page. Home of the Metro East Soccer Club We are dedicated to providing the youth in the Oak Grove and surrounding communities the opportunity to play soccer at any level by teaching, organizing and promoting the game of soccer. OGSL is a proud member of: Fall 2008 Registrations! We are still accepting registrations for the U6 Academy and a few selected teams that need filled. Go to the registration link. If a team is available it will say so. To register click here Latest League news #1: The Oak Grove Soccer League will be changing its name to the Metro East Soccer Club. We feel this name better describes this club and the people we serve. Your experience with this club will not change. We are still dedicated to providing the children in our communities the best soccer experience. Latest League news #2. We have recently formed a partnership with the Park Athletic Sports Club (PASC). PASC is a sports management company dedicated to providing positive experiences for youth soccer players and teams. PASC specializes in coaching academies, player camps, team training, tournament managing and coaching programs. We have hired PASC and their highly accredited coaches to help us in the following areas: Their coaches will be coaching our U6 Academy starting this season. David and Bruce will still be part of the program as administrators and to assist in any way. PASC tries to have a 10 player to 1 coach ratio so your child will receive more personal attention to help them master soccer skills. The Academy program will stay relatively the way it is except we will run a 6 week program instead of an 8. Your child will be provided 1 training session per week by the PASC coaches. The players will be divided into teams of 5 or 6 and will play games the 2nd session of each week, as before. Academy training for U7—U10 players: PASC will provide a training session for players on any team from U7—U10. This session is above and beyond what your child’s coach already does. You must register for this program and will have an additional fee for it. Fee and schedule are TBD. Goal Keeper Training: PASC will provide a Keeper Coach to provide extra training for keeper ages 8—15. We must have a minimum of interested keepers to provide this coarse. Fees and schedule is TBD. Team Training: PASC will provide a trainer for teams that want to participate in this program. The session will be for one day per week. We will divide the time evenly between all interested teams. Details and Fees TBD. Summer Camps: PASC will continue to provide coaching for our annual summer camps. Tournaments: We plan to hold 1 “recreational” tournament at each season end. Stay tuned for more news. Lil’ Kicker Program: The Oak Grove Soccer League/Metro East Soccer Club are proud to announce our Lil’ Kicker Program. We have formed a partnership with Sports City to bring this program to Oak Grove for 2.5 to 5 year old beginners. The program will be held at Frick Park on Mondays starting Sept 8th.
